Euler’s Disk: (best with sound on) this classic physics toy exhibits the motion of a “spolling” coin, a motion that combines spinning and rolling. Designed with a large mass and a special smooth beveled edge that maximizes the time of spin. amazingly, the contact point between the disk and the mirror can reach a speed of more than 200 mph. This video includes two cuts to 240fps slow motion to show the curious motion. Watch the end with the sound on!
